I’m usually hesitant to purchase extended warranties from stores. They have a huge mark-up and are pushed by sales people.On the other hand, you have Square Trade. They cost a fraction of store warranties and we an absolute breeze to work with. Some time back I bought a video camera on E-bay and recently it developed problems. I sent it back to them and within 3 days had my purchase price back. What could have been easier?? They checked it out and found it didn’t work and paid off. Bing, bang boom. I’ll never buy anything of consequence again with out a Square Trade warranty.And neither should you.

This is a review for the warranty service provided on my Flip Video Ultra 60 min. unit. I purchased a 3 year plan from Square Trade Warranty. The video failed to the extent it would only record 9 minutes even when totally empty. Square Trade completely reimbursed me for the purchase price once I had gone through their simple and relatively quick process for sending the unit to them for verification of its malfunction. I have other Square Trade Warrantees and intend on getting this cost-effective way of warrantying future purchases. This review may appear in the wrong area as their link to me to fill out this survey was for video camcorders in the $400-450 price range, which the Flip video is certainly not (about $120). I highly recommend Square Trade Warranty as a simple, cost-effective way to warranty your purchases. The four stars on the review refer to the Flip Video. I would give FIVE stars to Square Trade for their warranty and service.

You can buy a warranty from Square Trade for for what ever electronics you have, even for a used item on Ebay ! They have drop and spill warranty too that you can add. It is very easy, they keep everything online for you. If you subscribe to their newsletter they often have discounts. I just had a camera failing, they replied to my email the next day, offered me a shipping label to print to send my camera, and 2 or 3 days after, sent me an email saying they were going to reimburse me the price of my camera on my Paypal account. A few more days after, it’s done and I can buy another, newer camera. Thanks Square Trade.

Other folks, whose initials are BestBuy, acknowledged the camera I bought from them was broken, but would not honor the warranty they sold me.They kept sending the item in for repairs that never fixed the problem.SquareTrade, in contrast, was all about making me whole and made good on their warranty for a cell phone in short order.Squaretrade is all I use these days, and with their accidental damage coverage option, I am set for all situations.Now I can enjoy all my tech toys without worry.A major value added, for a very small price.

I am a FAN of Square Trade Warranties.I buy them for everything because the price is reasonable.I have already had a claim on two items and true to their promise Square Trade settled my claims quickly.In both cases neither item could be fixed so Square Trade refunded the purchase price of the item which was way more than what I paid for the warranty.I prefer a warranty that refunds the item purchase price instead of replacing the item.A refund allows you to purchase a new item that you want…it doesn’t have to be the same item if you discovered it was cheaply made and that is why it broke!I bought a used cell phone on ebay and after 3 or 4 months the phone stopped working and they refunded my money!On my other claim I purchased the accidental insurance and I dropped the camera a month after I bought it and they gave me my money back (after a $50 deductible).In both cases I bought new, better items.You can’t go wrong with Square Trade!

I have purchased Square Trade warranties for years and have saved on the extended warranties compared to in-store warranties.I did have a product that was not working properly.I mailed it in and they were not able to repair the item and did not have a replacement.I was refunded my full price that I originally paid for the item.I believe they do have an excellent warranty program.I would recommend this to those who wish to purchase an extended warranty.
