I love this camera backpack.It was perfect for a long travel trip where I needed protection for my camera but also plenty of extra room to carry other travel supplies .The side openinggave me easy access to my camera so I could be spontaneous during the trip without having to keep digging in & out of the pack.
Though, I felt it was a little big for day hikes, I would have preferred something smaller;it worked perfect as my carry on luggage.I was not traveling with a computer, but I found the added computer space great to put folders and books.The buckles on the lower half make an easy place to roll & cinch a light jacket.
I would call this an ideal ‘Travel Pack’.

This is a perfect bag for carrying:
- 1 DSLR camera with 70-200mm f/2.8 (i.e. big) zoom lens attached (mine is Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 which is comparable in size and weight with Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8)
- 1-2 additional lenses and/or flash (I put 17-80mm and 50mm f/1.8 lenses and the SB-400 flash
- a couple memory cards and extra battery

It’s pretty sturdy and tight (with the stabilizing strap), but that’s good because the camera and lens won’t move much inside the bag.

Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
1. Can fit SLR attached with the big 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (or equivalent)
2. Enough room for extra lenses and flash
3. Topload feature for easy access
4. Sturdy and good padding to protect the expensive equipment inside
5. Slim profile and more discreet design (vs some other pro camera bag)
6. Stabilizing strap to minimize movement
7. Lots of compartment for memory cards, batteries, lens cap, etc
8. Less than 3 lbs, and compact size
9. All weather cover is nice to have (and essential for professional)
10. Expandable (i.e. you can manage the divider/padding to create different size of space)

Cons:
1. Only take 1 full size SLR (I tried 2 D40s + 18-55mm and it works)
2. A bit pricey (for my amateur standard)
3. Close to 3 lbs (depend on how you see it)
4. Not a backpack model (if you prefer carrying backpack type bag when photographing)
5. Can’t put your regular 15 inch laptop in this bag (however you can squeeze in the 8.9 inch netbook). If you want to add your regular notebook, you will need to get the Lowepro Classified 250 AW series
6. Might be a bit too much bag/space for a quick short trip where you don’t need to bring your 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (use the Lowepro Topload Zoom series bag instead)
7. Not as easy (as I thought it would be) to pull out the camera in and out of the bag but it’s reasonable (maybe it’s because of the design and position of the zipper and the fact the bag is still stiff since it is new. I’m expecting it will get better as the bag will get softer/break-in with use)

In conclusion, this is a very good (and very stylish) bag if you want to carry a camera attached with the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (or smaller lens), with 1-2 extra lens (smaller lenses than the 70-200mm f/2.8) and/or flash.

I have heard recommendations for the Gorillapod for some time now.Finally when planning for a flying, driving and cruise vacation I was looking for something light enough to carry and not take up much of my 50 pound airline weight limit.I looked for a small, lightweight tripod and found a really nice one, but it was designed for point-and-shoot cameras and would not hold my DSLR.I finally looked for the Gorillapod options and found this package to be the most versatile and suitable.

I carried the Gorillapod in my camera back-pack with little added weight.It was always very convenient when needed to either steady long exposure shots or hold the camera in the best position for pictures with my wife and me.It can be used as a straight mini-tripod or the legs can be wrapped around almost anything and grip very well.I wrapped it around our cruise ship cabin balcony rail, other railings and signs, on top of a chair that was on our cabin bed, set it on the car hood, trunk, trash can, and other places.The only real issue I had was I was forced to take shots from a very low angle or from non-optimum location when there was nothing to set or wrap it on where I wanted it, but those times turned out to be rare.

Switching from landscape to portrait mode was easy with the excellent SLIK ball head, though I had to turn the ball head to get the camera mount post into the 90 degree slot.It attached and detached from the camera very quickly by loosening the ball-head lock tension screw and spinning the ball head on and off the camera mount. Also if you have a relatively heavy zoom like my 18-200 Sigma you’ll need to position a leg in front of the lens when used as a mini-tripod to keep it from tipping over. I was concerned about it falling but that didn’t happen during my trip.The other accessories came in handy also as a travel cleaning kit. I’m very happy with this purchase.

The Cameta Incognito 1000 Deluxe SLR Case is surprisingly well made for the price.It has plenty of room to hold your camera, 4 lenses and a flash, or 5 lenses if you don’t carry a flash, and room for all your small camera accessories.The clasps that hold the cover closed are surprisingly solid considering that they are plastic.They release very fast making it easy to get to your camera quick.

The tripod is a little flimsy though, but this is expected considering the price.The tilt up and down movement is a little tight and could use some refinement.

Pack:
Upon first viewing this product at home i realized this is very small. The picture made it look like it was big enough to actually hold the tripod comfortably. In fact the tripod is almost twice the height. Once i opened every pouch and everything i realized this has a lot of space for something so small. I have to admit it isn’t very comfortable to have on your back but if you use one strap it looks and feels fine. A lot of padding which is great. I have to admit it is very tight with my Pentax K10D but its really not that big a deal, and i just feel that much more secure. One negative note about it, was the Velcro that is all over the inside, was poorly sewed onto it. A few of them were only half on (the dividers can be moved around using Velcro).
Tripod:
The tripod was only a 10 dollar add-on so i thought.. oh well its going to be something cheap.. to leave in my trunk just-in-case. In fact it is a great little tripod. It feels like its got a sturdy construction. It has 2 level’s on it. And it feels the opposite of cheap. FYI it does come with a little case for the tripod, now that is cheap, but it came with it so i’m not complaining.
Cleaning kit:
Eh, i probably won’t even use it. Not a big deal, nothing special to me, but i suppose someday it will come in handy.

I WOULD RECOMMEND. Its not too expensive, and shipping to CT took from sunday to now Thursday. Not that big a deal seeing they couldn’t have possibly sent it out sunday .

This back pack is perfect for dslrs with minimal gear. i can carry my nikon d80 with 18-200mm lens on it plus room for my flash and one other lens. If i move things around I could carry another lens. I also have the accessory kit sqeezed in there and it is a bit snug. I have used the kit a few times and it does come in handy.

When carrying the back pack on my back and the front clip secured it fits very comfortably and off my back so hiking and other walking is very comfortable. there are straps that you can get for it to attach the tripod to it but i have not done this yet.

The upper compartment of the back pack is ok if you want to carry something such as a lunch or towel and there is a compartment that can hold my filters and such. It all works but is a bit awkward….I guess I’m still searching for the perfect bag but I have not found it yet…. I’m out growing this one…If you plan to add equipment you may want to think about getting something bigger….

This kit comes with a tripod but the tripod they supply is not suitable for dslrs. it may work if you never get past your kit lens if it is no bigger than 55mm but I had to purchase another tripod that was able to handle the weight and that has a ball head.

All in all this is a nice product and well made. I would recommend this to someone who had minimal gear…

I have bought it for this dealer. It is smaller than I have think. the real size is not same as that list on Amazon website. for me ,It is ok, because I have only one lens canon 24-105/4 Is and Canon 40D, I can keep my gear with the hood in the bag too. I think if you add one more lens such as Canon 70-300/is is ok too. But if you have tree lens and using big gear such as 40 d and 50 d and any similar size camera. this bag is too small. Actually, this bag is design for Canon Xs or Xt camera I guess.
